Job Description

We are looking for an On-Site IT Support Engineer (L1) for a 1-year contractual assignment based in Vienna, Austria. The ideal candidate will provide daily on-site support to end users and ensure smooth IT operations in coordination with remote teams.

A valid full-time work permit for Austria and fluency in English & German are mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Provide L1 on-site IT support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and end-user issues.
  • Troubleshoot Windows OS, user applications, network connectivity, and hardware.
  • Support remote IT teams by performing on-site tasks as needed.
  • Handle basic network-related tasks such as checking connectivity, cable tracing, and assisting with device reboots.
  • Document incidents, requests, and resolutions following internal procedures.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service and timely issue resolution.

Required Skill Set

  • Experience in Desktop/End-User Support (L1 level).
  • Strong understanding of Windows OS, basic networking (DNS, DHCP, IP configuration), printers, and mobile devices (iOS/Android).
  • Good communication skills in English & German (sufficient to work independently on-site).
  • Ability to work independently and follow remote instructions from higher-level IT teams.
  • Customer-oriented mindset and strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • Must hold a valid Austrian work permit that allows full-time employment.
