IT Infrastructure & Datacentre Engineer job available at MSP | Permanent | Melbourne South-East | ASAP Your new company A growing Managed Service Provider in Melbourne's South-East requires an Infrastructure & Datacentre Engineer for a permanent opportunity commencing ASAP. Your new role Within this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for: Administering and maintaining Windows & Linux servers. Managing patching, updates, system performance and security hardening. Deploying, configuring and maintaining servers, storage arrays and network infrastructure. Handling rack/stack, cabling, power distribution and hardware lifecycle management. Building, configuring and maintaining VMware vSphere, vCenter and ESXi environments. Integrating virtual networking (vSwitches, VLANs) and storage. Collaborating with network, security and DevOps teams to ensure seamless infrastructure integration. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have: Demonstrated experience in datacentre engineering and systems administration. Strong knowledge of VMware (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi) and Windows & Linux Servers. Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange, Azure and Automation / Scripting (PowerShell) preferred. A tertiary education in Information Technology as well as VMware, Microsoft, Azure and Cisco certifications are beneficial. Prior experience working within a Managed Service Provider or Consultancy.
