Job Description Take ownership of drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, NDAs, terms and conditions and aviation related agreements with clients, suppliers and airlines across multiple jurisdictions Provide pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice on international commercial, operational and regulatory matters Manage and respond to queries via the shared Legal mailbox, ensuring timely, accurate and consistent support to global stakeholders Act as a trusted adviser to senior management, clearly explaining risks and helping the business reach solutions Support global governance and company secretarial matters, including routine filings and maintenance of corporate records Assist with cross-border data privacy matters, including reviewing data processing agreements and supporting internal privacy compliance Support and coordinate the management of disputes and litigation, including preparing concise reports for senior leadership Collaborate closely with Bids, Compliance, Sales and other non‑sales teams to facilitate international commercial activity Contribute to the development of legal processes, guidance, templates and playbooks to improve consistency and efficiency across the department Handle a diverse range of global matters independently while escalating material risks appropriately Qualifications Fluency in Mandarin is a requirement Familiar with China business and corporate law is a plus Qualified lawyer in Australia (or any equivalent foreign jurisdiction) Minimum of 3 years’ commercial legal experience, with prior in house experience strongly preferred Experience handling international commercial contracts and a broad range of legal matters Experience in any of the following areas is advantageous: commercial law, corporate governance, company secretarial work, data privacy, or litigation support Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and provide practical, commercially aligned advice Strong judgement, integrity and the confidence to operate with a high degree of independence Aviation industry experience is an advantage Strong contract drafting and negotiation experience, ideally including cross-border commercial agreements Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin, with the ability to draft and advise confidently in both languages Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys, sales staff, administrative teams and senior management across global offices Comfortable working under pressure, managing multiple priorities and supporting teams across time zones A practical and solutions driven mindset, with the ability to translate legal analysis into clear business guidance Benefits 22‑day holiday which increases with length of service Additional paid leave for wedding, moving house, holiday shopping and more Opportunities for global training and travel A friendly, fun and very exciting environment enhanced with regular company‑funded social events and seasonal parties plus Friday night drinks #J-18808-Ljbffr
