About the Role Air Tickets is a market leading multi-award-winning airfare consolidator operating in Australia and New Zealand. Our in-house ticketing system, Ticket Wizard Next, guides our consultants through the ticketing process, delivering efficiency in ticket, reissue and EMD issuance. As a Fares & Ticketing Consultant you will have experience and understanding of the complexities of fares, ticketing and reissues. Working as part of a national team, you will also be required to handle questions asked by a travel agents in relation to interpreting airline fare rules, fare guidance and options. Air Tickets prides itself on providing excellence in customer service to our agent customers, to which you will contribute to. While our base of operations is in Melbourne, we also are willing to relocate this role to Sydney, Brisbane or Perth if the right candidate is found. What you're accountable for? Accurate and competitive fare quotes and options Correct issuance of all types of airline tickets and EMD’s Interpreting Airline Fare Rules and their ticketing processes Answer and handle phone calls and emails from travel agent customers in an appropriate manner and time frame Liaise with airline representatives and internal Air Tickets account managers to solve fares & ticketing issues, supporting our customers Refer complex ticketing queries to the Team leader and Senior Fares and Ticketing Consultants to assist you with resolution Qualifications & Experience Fares & Ticketing I and II At least one GDS Round World Fares knowledge desirable but not mandatory High competency level of fares and ticketing, with ability to decipher fare rules quickly and accurately Sound knowledge of GDS systems including Travelport, Sabre & Amadeus Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a high level of Customer Service Good problem solving, analytical and numerical skills Ensuring that own work is completed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner in accordance with operational KPI’s Other Considerations You may be required to travel interstate and overseas from time to time and provide support and advice to parts of the world outside your time zone.
