Overview Join to apply for the Accountant, Alternative Investments role at QIC . Location: South Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. This is a full-time 15-month contract. If you have strong attention to detail and want to advance your skills in the world of alternative investments, we want to hear from you. This is a hands-on role handling day-to-day operational elements across QIC's investment portfolio and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of reporting deliverables. Key Responsibilities Record and process investment-related transactions and valuations Ensure compliance with investment mandate and regulatory reporting obligations and internal controls Monitor and reconcile cash flow requirements and balances Prepare month-end work papers for the regular reporting cycles Reconcile key balances and investment data Assist with reporting obligations and year-end financial reporting and audits Support and collaborate with senior team members on operational tasks, reporting activities, and various business initiatives Qualifications Degree in Accounting/Finance, Business, Commerce, or equivalent Completing or completed CA or CPA qualification Minimum 2 years' experience post graduate, preferably in financial services High standard of accuracy and attention to detail Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with ability to adapt and learn systems skills quickly Strong verbal and written communication skills Able to be an active contributor to a high performing team Investment industry experience is not a prerequisite but is viewed favourably; we seek a highly proactive, initiative-driven individual who can independently manage work commitments within a dynamic and flexible environment.
