Design & Technology Teacher – Overview Barker College is currently seeking an experienced Design & Technology Teacher based at our Hornsby campus. This will be a permanent full-time role commencing 1 January 2026 (New Staff Orientation is 22 January 2026). The successful applicant will be qualified to deliver engaging and effective lessons in Stage 4 Technology and Stage 5 Design and Technology. While the ability to teach these subjects at Stage 6 is not a requirement, it would be considered an asset and may present future opportunities for professional growth within the department. The Design and Technology Department offers a rich and varied curriculum across Stages 5 and 6, including Design and Technology, Industrial Technology, Textiles Technology, and Food Technology. Teaching and learning are supported by purpose-built facilities, a comprehensive range of equipment and machinery tailored to each subject area, and a suite of digital applications that enhance both design and manufacturing processes.
