The Role To be suitable for this role you will ideally have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will be able to collaborate and work effectively with the leadership teams, staff, students, and parents. Suitable applicants will ideally be able to develop and maintain positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders, consult widely, and be able to work effectively as both part of a team and independently when required. Suitable applicants will collaborate closely with school leadership and Student Services teams. They will join a community of motivated and innovative educators committed to ensuring the wellbeing and educational outcomes of students. Churchlands SHS is fortunate to have a large multi-disciplinary team of Student Services staff, including Psychologists, Program Coordinators, Learning Support Coordinators, Chaplains, First Aid and Student Support Officers. In this role you will provide psychological services and evidence‑based assessments and interventions in learning and disability, mental health and wellbeing, positive behaviour and risk and incident management. Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills, demonstrating the capacity to produce correspondence, reports and case notes, and interview and training (facilitation) skills. Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills, which demonstrate an ability to function in a self‑directed way, and as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working with a range of clients across the lifespan, Department personnel and inter‑agency partners across a variety of contexts. Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and conceptual skills to issues identification, risk assessment and analysis, intervention and evaluation.
