About the Role As the State Manager , you will be the senior point of leadership for our Victorian team and clients. This role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on operational management. You’ll ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard—while building a collaborative, high‑performing team culture. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all Victorian operations, construction projects, and site teams, ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery. Mentor and support teams to deliver detailed scopes of work, accurate tender budgets, and strong project execution. Oversee project scheduling and workforce planning, including performance management and staff development. Drive WHS and safety compliance across all projects in partnership with the BBS WHS team. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, contractors, suppliers, and local authorities. Manage contractors and suppliers to meet company standards, purchase order processes, and compliance requirements. Ensure project delivery meets safety, quality, cost, profitability, and customer service expectations. Drive strategic growth, client engagement, and business development across Victoria. Monitor state‑level financial performance, reporting, and operational results. Collaborate closely with the National Management group and company Director on project strategy, improvement initiatives, and long‑term planning. What We’re Looking For You’re a confident, proactive leader with strong experience in construction, insurance repairs, or project delivery. You thrive in fast‑paced environments, manage complex operations with ease, and bring people together to achieve outstanding results. You will have Proven experience managing construction teams, multiple projects, and ideally operating at a senior, state, or regional leadership level. Solid background in medium to large domestic and commercial construction repairs. Strong understanding of construction and project delivery processes, including estimating, budget management, and repair methodologies. Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence communicating with property owners, clients, contractors, insurers, and internal teams. Demonstrated ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams and develop high‑performing staff. Strong financial, operational, and reporting capability with a solutions‑focused approach to challenges. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Thorough knowledge of construction processes, WHS requirements, permits, inspections, Building Codes, and Australian Standards. Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Project (or similar project management tools). Strong ability to manage competing priorities and multiple concurrent projects. Why Join ProBuild Australia?
