We are looking for Full Time, Part Time & Contract Event Managers to join the team and lead a variety of projects About the Role As an Event Manager, you’ll be the maestro that orchestrates every element of our biggest, boldest events. You’ll take projects from concept through to execution — building trusted client relationships, creating innovative event experiences, managing budgets, directing logistics, and ensuring every detail reflects our signature PEG polish. You will take a hands‑on leadership approach with our dynamic events team and their responsibilities, ensuring you stay connected to the finer details that bring each event to life. This role is about more than managing events; it’s about crafting moments that matter — where creativity meets operational excellence, and every event tells a story. While our usual hours are 9am–5pm weekdays, events don’t watch the clock. You’ll need to bring flexibility for evening, weekend, and on-site event work. Key Responsibilities Own end-to-end projects, leading your event team to deliver events on time, on budget, and on brand. Build and nurture strong client relationships, becoming a trusted partner in their success. Keep the conversation flowing with regular WIP meetings — with clients, the CEO, and the team — so nothing slips through the cracks. Dream up creative concepts and ideas that make our events truly shine, ensuring alignment with client goals and PEG’s creative standards. Translate ideas into killer event documentation: briefs, timelines, production schedules — the works Be the go-to for suppliers and partners, keeping everything running smoothly, within budget, and elevating event experiences. Own the budget — managing it wisely so every dollar counts and the event stays spectacular. Oversee technical, production, and logistical elements from planning to delivery. Lead the charge on risk and safety planning. Manage bump‑ins, event days, bump‑outs, and post‑event debriefs like a seasoned pro. Coach and inspire Event Coordinators and Assistants, helping them level up. Team up with the CEO and the broader team to craft proposals that win new clients and opportunities. Champion The Perfect Events Group brand at all times, aligning communication and delivery with our values: Respect, Trust, Integrity, Communication, Teamwork, Support, Honesty. Contribute to and help evolve The Perfect Events Group’s processes and procedures, driving continuous improvement. Build lasting relationships with clients, suppliers, and the broader event community. About You You will be an events professional with proven experience in producing large‑scale outdoor community events, as well as a broad range of other projects such as fundraising galas, conferences, and community festivals. You will also have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Other Key Attributes to include: Strong knowledge of event production principles, budgeting, documentation, and scheduling. Commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and deliver outstanding value for clients. Creativity and “big picture” thinking combined with attention to detail. Proven leadership experience with an appetite to develop and grow the team around you. Exceptional interpersonal skills — approachable, professional, and confident with stakeholders at all levels. Outcome‑focused with a proactive and positive can‑do attitude. Collaborative and supportive — a team player who builds trust. A genuine passion for events and a desire to grow in the industry.
