We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Family Peer Worker to join our Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) support program – The Bridge. The Family Peer Worker supports the families, carers and friends of people dependent on AOD drawing on their knowledge and lived experience as a support person. This part-time role is based in Singleton. This role will allow you to: Bring your lived and living experience of supporting loved ones dependent on AOD as a foundation to support others Leverage your lived experience to connect meaningfully with individuals and families, helping them navigate the complexities of the services and systems required Offer true empathy and understanding, helping individuals and their families build on their strengths and resilience Bring a real ‘knowing’ of what people may require, offering insight and connection through your lived experience and the collective experience of carers.
