Senior Advice Compliance Manager

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Advice Compliance Manager, and we’re looking for a passionate, detail-driven and integrity; focused professional to join our team. Based in our Melbourne CBD office, you will be part of our growing compliance and advice quality function within First Financial; one of Melbourne’s leading wealth advisory firms. As a key member of our team, you will partner with leaders and support staff across the business, and gain exposure working with both employed and self‑employed advisers who implemented to a broad range of clients and advice strategies. This role will utilise your skills and experience in: Monitoring and reviewing advice documents and processes across multiple advice teams Conducting advice file audits, identifying gaps, recommending corrective action and driving continuous improvement Developing, maintaining and enhancing compliance policies, procedures, templates and frameworks Providing guidance, training and technical support to advisers and support staff Supporting adviser onboarding/offboarding, authorisations and Professional Year requirements Offering subject matter expertise on advice standards, service delivery obligations and fee consent Identifying and reporting compliance risks and supporting remediation and dispute resolution processes Assisting with regulatory engagement, including reporting, audits and licence obligations Contributing to initiatives that uplift risk culture, advice quality and process efficiency A competitive salary with bonus potential Genuine career progression with coaching, training and ongoing professional development Opportunities to broaden your expertise across regulatory change, risk management and advice uplift Flexible working conditions to support work–life balance Exposure to a wide range of advisers, specialist teams and complex advice scenarios A supportive, collaborative and engaging environment where you can grow, lead and thrive We place the client—and the integrity of our advice—at the centre of everything we do. To be successful in this role, you will bring: Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial services compliance, advice supervision, regulatory affairs or risk management Strong understanding of regulatory obligations, including the Corporations Act, AML/CTF, Privacy and the Code of Ethics Experience conducting advice file reviews or previous experience as an adviser or paraplanner Demonstrated ability in compliance monitoring, adviser training and policy development Proficiency in Microsoft Office and XPlan Strong workflow and business process management capabilityExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail A degree in business, finance, law or a related field (preferred) Some background First Financial is one of Melbourne’s largest boutique wealth advisory firms.
