The Role You will be required to work in our office in Banksmeadow and on site in the Sydney metro and Greater Sydney area supporting our team of Passive Fire Safety Assessors. The day‑to‑day work will include some roof space inspections and kilometres of walking throughout buildings while completing inspections. There is also opportunity for career development in passive fire safety and compliance. The right candidate will be offered on‑the‑job training and mentoring from experienced assessors. Responsibilities Collect and organise building information prior to inspections. Prepare inspection documents and worksheets. Record inspection results and draft reports for review. Assist with reviewing Fire Engineering Reports (FERs). Support the Audit and Projects team with administrative and technical tasks. Prepare post‑works documentation and certification. Must Have A driver’s licence, own vehicle and willingness to work throughout the Sydney metro and Greater Sydney. Full working rights without restriction to work in Australia. Ability to pass a physical assessment medical, which includes a drug test and chest X‑ray. Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Basic understanding of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and relevant Australian Standards (advantageous, but training provided). Ability to read and interpret building plans (basic level). Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge in passive fire safety. Compensation & Benefits The position is a full‑time permanent role, with a salary of $75,000+ per year as a Trainee Passive Fire Safety Assessor and a view to progress earning $90,000+ per year as a Practitioner. A company vehicle and running expenses may be provided. Opportunities to work up the career path, 4 weeks annual leave per year with holiday loading, and all travel paid inline with the Award Provisions applied as per the NEC and the NSW Building award. Uniform, tools, and PPE are all provided.
