We're seeking a motivated Estimator to join our Kwinana-based team. This full-time, permanent position reports directly to the General Manager and will play a key role in Aaro's continued growth. Responsibilities Prepare accurate and timely estimates, proposals, and tenders. Collaborate with project managers and internal departments to gather necessary information. Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other key stakeholders. Prepare and distribute work packages to suppliers for quoted pricing. Incorporate financial and commercial requirements into estimates as approved during the tender review process. Determine material quantities and order as required before contract commencement. Attend site inspections and client meetings as required. Prepare and manage client clarifications post-tender submission. Track and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle, comparing actuals against estimates. Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates on estimates, cost analyses, and key project considerations. Maintain internal registers and prepare reports with up-to-date information. Maintain Expert Estimator software for estimating, job costing, and surveying activities. Continuously seek opportunities to improve estimating and scheduling practices. Exhibit a proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to hit the ground running. Skills & Experience Must have pipeline installation, rehabilitation, and maintenance estimating experience. Civil works and Micro Tunnelling estimating experience – highly desirable . Proficiency in computer systems and digital platforms, including Microsoft Office Suite – essential . Experience with Expert Estimator – highly desirable . Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to identify priorities, seek clarification when needed, and set realistic expectations to manage tasks effectively. Flexible and adaptable to changes in business needs. Humble – prioritises team success over individual recognition. Hungry – self‑motivated and diligent in achieving goals.
