RTO Business Development and Student Support Officer Looking for a diverse role where you can utilise all your acquired knowledge and skills, be appreciated and assist with the business development and student acquisition for a South Australian owned and operated RTO? Your Learning Portal P/L is boutique, locally grown and operated, face‑to‑face specialist Registered Training Organisation (46341) seeking a highly organised and industry qualified individual to work with our team and our students. A major component of this role is business development for student acquisition. We do things a little differently at Your Learning Portal. We pride ourselves on being an RTO that delivers high results and has students as its core focus. We are looking for an individual that can blend in with our current familiar team, support the current systems and processes of Your Learning Portal and contribute to improvements with your industry knowledge assisting our little business to grow. For us, it is not about being the biggest just being the best. Key Responsibilities Working and networking with external Service Providers and Business Partners to acquire, develop and convert opportunities for student recruitment into meaningful growth investments for the Company. Working closely with existing partners to recruit a consistent stream of students into the business. Source, develop and strategically acquire new partnerships that will realise a consistent source of students. Work cooperatively with the CEO and Media Team Member to ensure business opportunities are presented for development. Attend any Industry Inclusion Meeting, Networking events or Expo’s that are pertinent to business development goals and document appropriately. First point of contact for students queries for the business and ensuring the support of all students in matters relating to their enrolment, performance issues, requests for additional training and assistance with student induction and orientation to develop appropriate therapeutic relationships with students that engender wellbeing. Documentation and reporting activities commensurate with compliance, legislation and organisational policy. Working co-operatively with the CEO to ensure that all accredited programs are appropriately maintained in the AVETMISS Learning Management System. Supporting the smooth running of the business via use of the systems and processes in place. Ensuring that all data reporting requirements including AVETMISS and student data are delivered on either a monthly or annual basis and reconciled against DET records to ensure that governance activities are conformant including developing reports for external providers as required relating to enrolment matters. Work cooperatively with the CEO and Campus Coordinator to prepare for endorsement and accreditation meetings and audits. Working cooperatively with the CEO in the identification, review and development of policy and procedure manuals. Ensuring compliance and governance matters relating to the enrolment of students and meets current endorsement and accreditation standards including assisting in the administration of national and state compliance frameworks relevant to the RTO. Ensure accredited training delivery and assessment practices align with ASQA standards. Oversee the management of Student Management System and the Learning Management System(s). Following up incidents and complaints and reporting outcomes to the CEO. Hours and Location of Employment The role is flexible for the right applicant: Full time or Part time. This role is in‑house at our City Campus or elsewhere as the business requires. The business is not open on weekends and Public Holidays. Required Qualifications Sufficient RTO experience of 3 years+. National Police Clearance. A tertiary qualification relevant to this role. RTO Industry experience 3+ years in the delivery of student services. RTO Business Development experience of 3+ years. Previous strong experience in student recruitment and business development activities. Experience and proficiency working with a Student and Learning Management Systems. Detailed knowledge of RTO operations including compliance and AVETMISS reporting. Previous experience in managing a diverse range of students. Commitment to the values and culture of the organisation. Sound reliability, time management, organisational and administrative skills.
