About the role We are currently seeking a full‑time Scientist for our VIC Transplantation and Immunogenetics Services (VTIS) team to provide diagnostic laboratory testing for transplantation matching, identification of genes and antibodies affecting the immune response for tissue typing, and investigations into leukocyte‑related transfusion reactions. In a day as a Scientist you may do the following: Conduct HLA matching of transplant recipients and donors, as well as provide immunogenetic services Identify HLA and HPA compatibility for transfusion purposes Conduct scientific, technical or specialist testing and procedures Review, analyse and interpret results Manage the receipt, input and tracking of clinical data and samples Show pride in upholding our high safety and quality standards Share expertise, education and training Additionally, as part of the team, you will continually look for ways to optimise work processes, actively learning and adapting your approach to achieve great outcomes. Here’s what we’re looking for: A minimum education level of Bachelor of Science with a major in Immunology, Genetics, or an equivalent scientific major.
