As part of the Drug and Alcohol service, you'll play a critical role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals and their families facing substance misuse challenges. You'll work closely with clients, their families, and carers to help develop resilience and assist in improving general health and well‑being. The D&A CNC1 is a clinical expert who leads the delivery of evidence-based clinical practice, provides education and management guidance to health care professionals, contributes to research and provides professional leadership. A Little About Us Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services. Wollongong is located an hour’s drive south of Sydney on a narrow coastal strip bordered by the Royal National Park to the north, Lake Illawarra to the south, the Tasman Sea to the east and the Illawarra Escarpment to the west. Working With Children Check (WWCC). Current AHPRA Registration. Has at least 5 years full-time post-registration experience and in addition who has approved post-registration nursing qualifications relevant to Drug & Alcohol, or other qualifications deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
