About your role This advanced-level role is pivotal in driving safe, contemporary and evidence-based patient handling practice across Metro South Health. In this role, you will: Provide advanced clinical reasoning and expert guidance on complex patient handling and hazardous manual tasks. Lead the development, implementation and review of strategies, systems and initiatives to mitigate patient handling risks. Act as the primary clinical reference point for patient handling across Metro South Health. Deliver high-level consultancy services in accordance with legislative, ethical and professional standards. Mentor and support clinicians to resolve urgent and complex issues. Produce high-quality reports, briefs, presentations and clinical documentation. About you You are a highly experienced health practitioner with advanced knowledge in patient handling, manual task risk mitigation or musculoskeletal injury prevention. You will bring: Advanced clinical expertise in evidence-based patient handling practice and injury prevention. Strong understanding of patient-centred, value-based and connected care models. Proven ability to prepare high-quality written documents, reports and submissions. Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes. Possession of a relevant post graduate qualification or enrolment in (highly desirable). Tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant profession and eligibility for registration/membership. Commitment to travelling across Metro South Health sites as required.
