About the Opportunity In this position you will be responsible for: Preparing, setting up, and packing down practical experiments for Science classes (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and STEM) and providing hands‑on support to teachers and students during lessons. Maintaining clean, safe, and well‑organised laboratories and prep rooms, including chemical storage and equipment stock levels. Preparing chemical solutions, following safe chemical handling and waste disposal procedures, and keeping WHS documentation (SDSs and risk assessments) up to date. Developing and administering procedures and responding to enquiries across the Science Department. Reviewing and enhancing local systems and providing recommendations for improvement. Preparing and maintaining science practicums/experiments consistent with the curriculum. Monitoring resources within the Science Department, including equipment maintenance/storage and WHS compliance. Supervising and training support staff as required. About You To be successful you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including: Process and procedure development and administration. System review and enhancement, identifying areas for improvement. Proficiency in preparing and maintaining science experiments and practicals that align with the curriculum, ensuring safe and effective learning environments. Resource management and WHS compliance. Staff supervision and training. A Certificate in Science or a related field. Not required to be Catholic.
