Facilities & Operations Manager – Retail & Commercial FM JLS Group is a multi-brand organisation delivering specialist services across construction, shopfitting and facilities maintenance. Through our Rapid Facilities Response (RFR) and Rapid Retail Response (RRR) divisions, we support retail, commercial and national multi‑site clients with fast, reliable, high‑quality facilities solutions. We are now seeking a Facilities & Operations Manager to take ownership of day‑to‑day FM delivery, client relationships and operational performance across our growing portfolio. This is a senior operational leadership role with a clear pathway into broader divisional leadership. About the Role This is a hands‑on leadership position responsible for overseeing reactive and scheduled facilities works, leading the FM team, managing key client relationships and driving continuous operational improvement. You will work closely with senior leadership, internal coordinators, trades and support teams to ensure high service standards, strong governance and consistent delivery outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead day‑to‑day FM operations across reactive and preventative maintenance Act as primary escalation point for a portfolio of key clients Oversee WIP, scheduling, job progression and close‑outs Maintain high service, communication and documentation standards Lead and support FM coordinators and site technicians Build strong relationships with trade partners and service providers Drive process improvement across systems, reporting and workflows Support onboarding of new clients, SLAs and contracts Contribute to forecasting, pipeline development and divisional growth Maintain strong safety, compliance and governance standards About You You are a confident facilities leader who thrives in fast‑paced, high‑accountability environments. You will bring: 5+ years’ experience in facilities, construction, property or building services Proven experience managing multi‑site or national client portfolios Strong operational leadership and team management capability Excellent communication, organisation and client management skills High attention to detail and strong commercial awareness Confidence managing trades, scopes, compliance and service delivery A genuine interest in growing a division, not just running jobs Trade qualifications or formal qualifications in building, construction or property are highly regarded.
