Employment Type: Casual (2-3 days)Location: Bankstown, NSWReports To: Finance Manager / CEO Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive NDIS Claims assistant to manage financial operations related to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all claim and reconciliation activities. You will collaborate closely with the Finance department and operational staff to ensure all NDIS‑related financial processes meet organizational and regulatory standards. Your work will directly support internal stakeholders by streamlining claims processing, maintaining financial records, and delivering clear financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Review weekly timesheets and prepare NDIS claim values per participant in accordance with signed service agreements. Create, process, and lodge weekly NDIS claims/invoices, including reconciliation activities. Reconcile Agency‑managed claims against NDIS remittance advice. Investigate and resolve claim discrepancies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Perform month‑end reviews, reconciliations, and reporting to the finance manager. Ensure timely and accurate completion of all required financial reporting. Maintain financial records including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger. Manage payroll preparation and expense tracking. Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow. Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting. Ensure compliance with NDIS financial regulations and audit requirements. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters. Uphold confidentiality and data integrity in all financial transactions. Skills & Capabilities 2‑3 years’ experience in finance or accounts roles, must within disability services or an NDIS environment. Strong understanding of NDIS operational and financial processes. Proven ability to manage data accuracy and perform financial reconciliations. High attention to detail and a proactive problem‑solving approach. Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software systems. In‑depth knowledge of NDIS pricing and billing processes. Strong end‑to‑end payroll management experience. Effective time management and organisational skills. Understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations. Qualifications & Experience Certificate IV or higher in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or finance, preferably within the NDIS or healthcare sector. Experience with NDIS claims and compliance is highly desirable. #J-18808-Ljbffr
