If you love bringing order to chaos, supporting a team, and creating a seamless experience for clients, this might be your next home. What you’ll do Keep projects moving (invoices, bookings, logistics, chasing info) Handle day‑to‑day office + operations tasks Support finance (payroll prep, bills, payments) Send warm, on‑brand customer comms Improve systems + documentation over time About the role Full‑time, based in our studio in the inner north of Melbourne (right next to the Preston Market) Small, friendly team doing meaningful, visual storytelling work Salary based on experience Start date: as soon as we find the right person We’re looking for someone who is: Proactive & Responsive You chase clients for purchase orders. You follow up with illustrators who submitted their invoice without an ABN. You follow through on deadlines. And when someone chases you? You’re already ahead of them. Clear, concise, and typo‑free messages are your default. Whether it’s a text message, an email, or a client call—you know how to get your point across without fluff or confusion. Pragmatic & Flexible You’re happy to pitch in wherever needed. Titles don’t matter—teamwork does. You’re the kind of person who sees what needs doing and just does it. Organised & Methodical This role is about execution, not expression. You’ll switch between seven different projects and keep them all moving. If your files live in chaos or you don’t use task lists, we’re not your tribe. This is a client‑facing role. You’re calm under pressure, warm in conversation, and your emails are as personable as they are professional. People trust you quickly—and for good reason. Ridiculously Detail‑Oriented You spot typos in published books. You notice when spacing is off by 2 pixels. You read every line in a government request for tender (even the boring ones). You are, in short, someone who gets the details right. Bonus Points For: Creative agency or content studio experience Familiarity with Basecamp, Adobe Suite, or MURAL Excel or Notion formula wizardry Why You’ll Love Working Here A supportive, values‑driven team that loves clarity and creativity Meaningful projects for education, government, not‑for‑profits and more Autonomy, flexibility, and room to grow A real, in‑person studio vibe — most of us work in the office most of the time, and we like it that way.
