Program Coordinator - Leading Teacher - Instructional Leadership Join to apply for the Program Coordinator - Leading Teacher - Instructional Leadership role at Department of Education, Western Australia We are seeking to establish a pool of Program Coordinator – Leading Teacher – Instructional Leaders for permanent and fixed‑term, full‑time and part‑time vacancies that may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. Located approximately 27 kilometres from Perth CBD, Joseph Banks Secondary College (SC) is an Independent Public School serving students from Years 7 to 12. Responsibilities Lead and sustain a culture of teaching excellence through evidence‑informed practice. Promote and guide improvement and innovation in instructional strategies. Facilitate teacher collaboration and reflective practice to build collective efficacy. Use data to inform decision‑making and drive continuous improvement. Support case management of students through effective intervention and monitoring. Build team capacity and cohesion to ensure consistent, high‑quality learning experiences. Model leadership for learning by being a lead learner within the school community. Qualifications and Experience Strong understanding of contemporary instructional strategies and curriculum delivery. Demonstrated instructional leadership experience within a secondary school setting. Proven ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff, families, and the wider community. Commitment to distributed leadership and adult learning principles. Ability to lead strategic change and promote a culture of high expectations. Eligibility Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or visa holder with relevant work rights. Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia. Valid Working With Children Check before starting. Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before starting.
