We are looking for Accounts Payable Support Officer to work with our client in the State Government space Location: Springvale, Victoria Contract term: predicted to run for 1 month (potential for extension) Hours: anticipated to be 38 hour week, Monday to Friday Hourly rate: $48.43/hour + Super Role Purpose: This role is crucial as they transition to the new Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central system. You will provide vital support to our Senior Accounts Payable Officer, ensuring our accounts payable processes run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Process accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all documents meet Financial Delegations Authority. Match invoices with purchase orders and goods received notes. Manage purchase requisitions/orders, ensuring swift and correct processing. Reconcile creditor statements with accounting records. Assist in the transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Set up suppliers for Continia document capture and manage any invoices that are not automatically processed. Address vendor and internal staff inquiries promptly. Support other functions within the Finance team as required. Who You Are: We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with: Essential Qualifications: 3+ years of accounts payable experience, ideally within a Finance team. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent organisational and time management skills. A confident work ethic with the ability to work independently. High attention to detail, especially when managing high transaction volumes. A willingness to learn and adapt to the new ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central - existing knowledge would be highly beneficial Desirable Qualifications: Experience in a Not-for-Profit organization. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus. Knowledge of the Cemeteries Act and relevant legislation is advantageous.
