Currently seeking a full-time (38hr/wk) Pastrycook, you will be responsible for the following duties on a daily basis: Responsible for preparing and baking varieties of cakes, cookies, pastries, rolls, puddings, desserts according to recipes; Operating machines which roll and mould dough and cut biscuits; Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding and shaping dough and pastry; Ensuring the quality of all required materials and weighing ingredients; Communicating with Manager and chefs in introducing weekly specials of individual pastries and sweets; Finalising, glazing and decorating baked goods; Maintaining equipment and keeping clean standards; Preparing and cooking ingredients for pie fillings, quiches, and other savouries as required; Adjusting drafts or thermostatic controls to regulate oven temperatures and to set time cycle for baking products; Skills and Qualifications A level of skill commensurate with an AQF Certificate III, including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV or at least three years of relevant experience in lieu of a formal qualification; At least one year of relevant experience in addition to formal qualification; Ability to instruct and demonstrate patisserie techniques to others; A passion for food and quality produce; Excellent attention to detail; Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 + Superannuation #J-18808-Ljbffr
