Thrive Family Practice, an award-winning, doctor-owned General Practice in the heart of Glenelg South, is seeking a friendly and efficient receptionist to join our caring, interdisciplinary team. About the Role: Position: Casual Medical Receptionist Hours: 12 - 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and some Saturday mornings Flexibility: Must be available for a mix of opening and closing shifts 8am – 6pm, coverage of annual leave and sick leave. Location: Thrive Family Practice, Glenelg South What We Offer: Competitive casual rates A supportive, patient-centred work environment Be part of a team that values holistic, high-quality care Key Responsibilities: Providing exceptional front desk service with warmth and efficiency Answering telephone calls and assisting with inquiries Managing appointments, patient inquiries, and administrative tasks Supporting clinical staff with day-to-day operations Processing patient accounts and billing Ability to handle multiple tasks and activities Using Best Practice software for patient records and bookings Opening and closing the clinic as required About You: Experience in medical reception (essential) Proficient with Best Practice software (preferred) Strong communication and organisational skills A positive, organised and proactive attitude High level of attention to detail The ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality and able to work both independently and as part of a team Reliable, with the flexibility to cover opening, closing, Saturday shifts, annual leave and sick leave as needed Important: Due to confidentiality considerations, we are unable to consider applications from our current patient group.
