Mental Health Clinician | Eating Disorder Service 1 – Barwon Health Temporary Part‑time / Full‑time positions (multiple roles). Employment type: temporary part time / full time. We are seeking experienced clinicians in child and adolescent mental health to provide evidence‑based treatment to young people (0‑25 years) and their families with eating disorders. The role is within a multidisciplinary team supporting the Eating Disorder Service. Responsibilities Assess and deliver evidence‑based treatment to children and young people presenting with an eating disorder. Work with a close‑knit, supportive multidisciplinary team. Undertake regular mental state examinations and risk assessment. Maintain effective and timely communication with other health providers involved in the young person’s care. Document and review client care within usual team processes and procedures in the client medical file. Provide primary and secondary consultation to the broader service regarding eating disturbance or disorder. Contribute to multi‑family therapy, family‑based treatment, CBT‑E, SSCM, CAT, motivational interviewing and other evidence‑based modalities. Support secondary consultation and liaison with public and private sectors. Qualifications & Experience Experience working in a child and adolescent mental health setting. High level clinical skills related to the assessment and management of children and young people with eating disorders. Specialist training in assessment and evidence‑based treatments for eating disorders. Sound conceptual knowledge of service integration and shared care principles. Experience working with individuals with eating disorders and their families. Current Victorian driver’s licence. About Eating Disorder Service The Barwon Health Eating Disorder Service is a specialist multidisciplinary team providing assessment and treatment to young people (0‑25 years) and their families presenting with an eating disorder, or at risk of an eating disorder. It is located within the broader Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol program and leads in evidence‑based treatments such as FBT, CBT‑E, SSCM, CAT, MFT and motivational interviewing.
