About the Role The Program Manager oversees departmental programs and initiatives, providing guidance and strategic support throughout the program lifecycle while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. The incumbent manages a diverse group of knowledge professionals within the Health, Wellbeing and Specialist Services Branch, supporting a multi‑disciplinary team. Key responsibilities include managing workforces, programs and initiatives in school well‑being, attendance and engagement, inclusion and disabilities coordination, respectful relationships, and primary/secondary school nursing. The role participates on the area’s leadership team, assists the Executive Director and Senior Education Improvement Leaders, and maintains relationships with Early Childhood Implementation, Student Wellbeing & Engagement, and Student Support Services teams. The Program Manager promotes strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate wrap‑around support for children, schools, and system‑wide issues. The position is based at the Ringwood office and covers the Outer East. Attributes People Management: clearly define role expectations, monitor performance and support effective workforce planning. Influence and Negotiation: build support for ideas, progress work and achieve outcomes. Stakeholder Management: resolve issues with multiple stakeholders and work collaboratively in partnership. Specialist Expertise: regional service delivery in health and wellbeing to support student outcomes. Leadership: participate within a leadership team, lead and progress relevant work across area and regional teams. Qualifications and Experience Desirable: Registration at a relevant institute or association. Essential: A relevant tertiary qualification in a health and wellbeing field such as Nursing, Allied Health, Teaching or Special Education.
