Assistant Accountant (Full-Time, Maternity Leave Contract) Immediate Start Salary: Up to $90,000 p.a. depending on experience Contract: 6 months (with the possibility to extend) We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team on a contract basis. This is a full-time role for 6 months, with the possibility to extend. The role reports directly to the Head of Finance. The successful candidate will support core finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll assistance, and general accounting functions. Responsibilities Set up and maintain Supplier accounts and reconciliation Process Supplier invoices and Credit Card statements Payments processing, including authorisation process Bank Reconciliation including daily AR receipts Regular Maintenance of direct debit payments Customer Queries / Receipts / Billing support / management reporting Ad hoc duties as required Knowledge and Experience High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to effectively manage time and priorities Demonstrated adaptability to change and ability to respond to challenges in a changing environment Intermediate computer skills including Excel and familiar with Accounting Software and general ledger accounting concepts At least 1 year’s experience with AR, AP and general accounting.
