North Sydney Council is seeking an enthusiastic Event Operations Team Leader to lead the operations behind some of the most high-profile and exciting public and cultural events within the North Sydney LGA. North Sydney Council administers the North Sydney local government area on Sydney’s picturesque lower North Shore. Our 400 employees look after 77,000 residents spread across 10 square kilometres of land on the foreshores of Sydney Harbour providing spectacular harbour views, beautiful parklands and a bustling CBD. As the Event Operations Team Leader, you’ll oversee the full spectrum of event operations—approving permits, coordinating with third‑party organisers, and managing everything from infrastructure and site setup to crowd control and risk management. Every detail counts, and you’ll make sure it all aligns with Council’s high standards for safety, quality, value and enjoyment Your background in large-scale event operations and project management will be your secret weapon as you juggle timelines, budgets, and competing priorities without missing a beat.
