With a large and diverse workforce across its Melbourne operations, MCEC is dynamic, collaborative and always buzzing with activity. The Opportunity This role is 18 months, fixed term. Reporting to the P&C Business Partner, this newly created role provides day-to-day P&C advice to the Operations Division at MCEC. You’ll support leaders with coaching, ER matters, support in recruitment for both permanent and high-volume casual roles, and help uplift people capability across the organisation. It’s perfect for someone who loves variety, can manage competing priorities, and brings strong emotional intelligence to their work. What You’ll Be Doing Providing first-level P&C advice on policies, EBAs, performance and conduct. Supporting ER case management and investigations. Working closely with an established P&C Business Partner. Assisting leaders with recruitment. Contributing to P&C programs, projects and change initiatives. Coaching leaders on early conversations and people management fundamentals. Supporting P&C activity across predominantly Melbourne and to Geelong operations as needed. What You Bring Experience in HR advisory, generalist or coordination roles. Exposure to casualised or high-volume workforces. Confidence in supporting ER matters. Strong understanding of award/EBA interpretation. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly. A proactive, flexible and steady approach. Experience in retail, hospitality, events or healthcare is highly valued.
