Our Company With a team of 30 EPs, Specialised Health provides exercise‑based rehab programmes for clients across 5 states in Australia as well as both the North and South Islands of New Zealand. We are known as specialist EPs operating in the Life Insurance scheme, providing expert opinion and prescription services for clients with a wide variety of conditions from cancer and fatigue to cardiac and musculoskeletal issues. The Role This is a mobile role, giving you independence and full flexibility in your day‑to‑day scheduling. While you enjoy flexibility, you will be supported, encouraged and integrated into our team of EPs, led by our Senior EP. Assess, prescribe and supervise exercise‑based rehab programmes. Run programmes from a client’s home, nearby outdoor parks, pools or local gyms. Work closely with OTs, Psychosocial specialists, Vocational Consultants, GPs and Physios to help patients achieve their goals. Help clients return to activities such as cycling (literally), swimming, surfing, climbing, golfing and more, all in the name of rehab specificity and goal‑oriented programming. Your Future We actively support EPs progressing into dual roles such as Account Management and Business Development, offering many opportunities for career growth if you can execute client‑related work to a high level and have a business mindset. Essential Criteria Accreditation with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) as an Exercise Physiologist. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with GPs, Rehabilitation Consultants, Insurers and other treating parties. Experience in writing comprehensive reports that accurately document progress, barriers and treatment goals. Access to a reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to various locations for appointments including gyms, client homes, local pools or parks. Desirable Criteria Experience in the occupational rehabilitation industry and understanding of its complexities. Experience working with a range of injuries including musculoskeletal injuries, mental health conditions, cancer and fatigue. Understanding of Life Insurance, Motor Accident insurance and/or Workers’ Compensation. Experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds, ages and abilities. Ability to develop tailored exercise programmes that suit the client’s needs, goals and abilities. Knowledge of technology and comfort using software and apps to document progress and communicate with other parties involved in the rehabilitation process.
