Culturally & Linguistically Diverse Domestic Violence Specialist Worker DV West provides a holistic response to women and children who are experiencing domestic and family violence and related homelessness. Our organisation works to prevent and respond to domestic violence through education and evidence‑based programs and services. We utilise the principles of empowerment and self‑determination to support and advocate for women and children to live lives free from inequality and violence. DV West works across the Penrith/Nepean/Blue Mountains/Blacktown/Hills and Hawkesbury districts. ABOUT THE POSITION: We are seeking a Culturally & Linguistically Diverse Domestic Violence Specialist Worker , on a full‑time basis, who is skilled in providing support and collaborative case management to women and their child(ren) from Culturally & Linguistically Diverse backgrounds who are impacted by domestic and family violence. The successful applicant will be supported to attend further training to deliver specialist DV support using a domestic violence informed, trauma‑informed and strength‑based approach in their work. ESSENTIAL Understanding the drivers and gendered nature of violence against women and willingness to be trained in a DV Specialist role Experience in providing case management, assistance and advocacy for women and children from Culturally Linguistically Diverse backgrounds Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, other services, and government agencies Strong understanding of referral pathways across government and community supports. Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs Availability to participate on an on‑call roster DESIRABLE CRITERIA Experience working with women and children in a culturally responsive and trauma informed way. Experience in Domestic/Family Violence sector Understanding or experience in the Safe and Together Model Employment as per SCHCADS Award plus 12% superannuation and Salary Sacrifice offered.
