We are seeking an enthusiastic Toy Library Session Volunteer Knox and District Toy Library – Scoresby VIC Knox Toy Library is a not‑for‑profit, volunteer‑run service that has been part of the local community for many years. They provide families with access to a wide range of high‑quality, fun, and educational toys. The collection supports babies, toddlers, and primary school children. We also have a range of board games and puzzles for teenagers and adults to enjoy. The toy library is run by a mix of paid staff and volunteer members, with a committee overseeing how the library operates, grows, and supports the community. Joining the committee is a great way to meet others, contribute to the local community, and help shape the future of Knox Toy Library. Purpose of the Role We are looking for friendly and reliable volunteers to help during our borrowing sessions. Volunteers play an important part in keeping the Toy Library running smoothly and helping families enjoy their visit. You will work alongside our Toy Library Manager and other volunteers to help with returns, organise toys, and keep the space tidy and welcoming. Key Responsibilities Help count and check toys that are returned Return items to the correct shelves and keep the space organised Assist with processing and cleaning new toys ready for borrowing Support the Toy Library Manager during sessions Help keep the library clean, safe, and welcoming for families Who This Role Would Suit This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being part of a friendly community environment and likes helping others. You might be a parent, grandparent, student, or local resident looking to give back. No experience is needed, just a willingness to learn and help out.
