Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as a full-time Project Planner/Coordinator . This integral role will provide support to the Project Manager, contributing to the continued growth of our business. We are looking for someone to manage work through the foundry and machine shop. Your primary responsibilities will involve planning, coordinating and reporting on manufacturing projects as they progress through the workshops. The scope of work performed by this part of VEEM is casting, machining, fabricating and some fitting. To facilitate these tasks you will be utilizing our sophisticated, user friendly job costing MRP system. Your Responsibilities Develop work instructions from drawings and specifications. Interface with production management staff to introduce the jobs into production. Monitor the daily performance of all jobs under your care. Comply with all VEEM Ltd’s quality system requirements and to participate in the development of quality initiatives, such as corrective actions, process improvement and audit actions. Work with the production team to manage the scheduling software to achieve effective timeliness of production output. Produce quotations and tenders as appropriate. Liaise with customer representatives. Your Skills & Experience Machining trade background or a bachelor’s degree in engineering (with machining knowledge) - with the ability to read manufacturing drawings. Ability to manage customer projects from quotation to delivery stage. The candidate should be an effective communicator and able to build collaborative relationships with all teams, and is a skilled multi-tasker with a “can do” attitude. 5 years of experience in project management. Sound knowledge of engineering workshop practice - particularly machining. Experience with working closely with engineering commercial and development teams. Be a relationship builder, confident in liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Sound knowledge of ISO 9000 quality systems. Confident in MS Office Suite, high level of computer proficiency. Proficiency in spoken/written English. Must be an Australian Citizen, with the ability to achieve AGSVA security clearance.
