ICT Technical Support Officer

We are looking for an ICT Technical Support Officer to join our IT team at Tranby College We are inviting applications for a full-time ICT Technical Support Officer. The successful applicant will enjoy helping others, demonstrate confidence in using ICT (particularly Microsoft technologies), and show a willingness to learn new systems and technologies through continual professional development. This role is the first point of contact for ICT enquiries during school hours and provides essential assistance with setup, maintenance, and project work during school holidays. The position also includes systems administration and support responsibilities to ensure smooth operation of College-wide technology systems and platforms. Key Responsibilities Manage walk-ins and general ICT inquiries from students, staff, and parents. Provide help desk/service desk support and resolve issues promptly. Provision new devices and user accounts for students and staff. Configure, maintain, and support Microsoft Windows computers, peripherals, and network devices. Assist with audio-visual and classroom technology support, including diagnosing and repairing faults. Perform administrative tasks related to IT support (e.g., vendor engagement, hardware procurement, and asset tracking). Conduct end-user education and training for staff and students. Manage IT assets, including lifecycle management and documentation. Participate in ICT project work, from planning through to implementation. Systems Support Responsibilities Liaise with the IT Department on the configuration, implementation, management, and maintenance of College systems (e.g., TASS, Digistorm, Consent2Go, K-12 PIPS, Learning Pathways, etc.) to ensure accuracy and functionality. Support staff across all College departments in using digital tools and platforms. Manage system performance, user accounts, permissions, and roles. Implement updates, enhancements, and integrations between platforms. Liaise with external vendors regarding upgrades, modifications, training, and troubleshooting. Provide system support to HR, Finance, Registrar, and Academic teams to ensure data integrity and functionality. What We’re Looking For Successful experience in maintaining ICT infrastructure and learning technologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments. A “can-do” attitude and strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset. Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues efficiently. Experience with firewall technologies (Sophos preferred, but not essential). Basic understanding of networking, wireless, and troubleshooting techniques. Outstanding phone and in-person support etiquette. Enthusiasm for learning and growing within a dynamic educational environment. Additional Information This is a full-time position based at the College campus in Baldivis. Some out-of-hours may work may be required to support projects, upgrades, or maintenance tasks. The College reserves the right to commence recruitment at any stage.
