As a Senior Compliance Officer, you’ll play a critical role in safeguarding these standards. Working within our Trades Education & Training (TET) team, you’ll lead the development and oversight of a management information system that allocates responsibility across stakeholders—helping us meet obligations under the Guidelines about Apprenticeship (Vic), RTO Standards 2025, and health and safety legislation. This is a role where your expertise will directly influence the safety and success of Swinburne’s vocational education programs. You’ll collaborate with teachers, managers, and the TET Director, while drawing on contemporary advice from Health & Safety and Facilities teams. Reporting to the Manager, Compliance and Support, you’ll work under general direction but with plenty of scope to innovate and make an impact. About You Experience that counts – you’ve supported complex environments and know how to keep things running smoothly for clients and stakeholders. A knack for problem‑solving – you can interpret policies and turn them into practical solutions without breaking a sweat. Great communication skills – whether it’s writing, speaking, or building relationships, you’re confident engaging with people at all levels. Tech‑savvy skills – you’re comfortable with Microsoft Office and especially Excel, using it to keep data clear and organised. Industry know‑how – you understand the VET sector and the compliance frameworks that keep everything on track. Qualifications Completion of a relevant degree without subsequent relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
