Our mission goes beyond delivering exceptional vocational education—we ensure every program meets the highest standards of compliance, safety, and quality. As a Senior Compliance Officer, you’ll play a critical role in safeguarding these standards. Working within our Trades Education & Training (TET) team, you’ll lead the development and oversight of a management information system that allocates responsibility across stakeholders—helping us meet obligations under the Guidelines about Apprenticeship (Vic), RTO Standards 2025, and health and safety legislation. This role directly influences the safety and success of Swinburne’s vocational education programmes. You’ll collaborate with teachers, managers, and the TET Director, while drawing on contemporary advice from Health & Safety and Facilities teams. Reporting to the Manager, Compliance and Support, you’ll operate under general direction but with ample scope to innovate and make an impact. About You Experience managing complex environments and ensuring smooth operations for clients and stakeholders. Strong problem‑solving skills—interpreting policies and turning them into practical solutions. Excellent communication skills—confident writing, speaking, and building relationships at all levels. Tech‑savvy—comfortable with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for clear and organised data handling. Industry knowledge—understanding of the VET sector and its compliance frameworks. Qualifications Completion of a relevant degree or equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
