Gasweld Tools have an opportunity available for an IT Support Officer to join our team. This is a full time position, based at our Head Office in Lambton. Key Responsibilities Providing technical support to end-users on various software or hardware infrastructure to resolve hardware, software, network and other IT related issues or queries. Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, software applications and operating systems. Maintain and implement cyber security and information security policies across the various IT system. Administer user account and access permissions in various IT systems and manage the creation, modification and deactivation of user accounts as per established policies and procedures. Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to identify IT equipment and software requirements and assist with the procurement process by researching, evaluating and recommending suitable products or services. Maintain inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses and peripherals and track asset allocation through auditing processes. Skills and Experience Required Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, and operating systems. Strong problem solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with end users and provide clear instructions and technical guidance. Attention to detail when troubleshooting technical issues and documenting support activities accurately ensuring that all problems are fully resolved and preventing potential errors or omissions. Absolute confidentiality, professionalism, integrity and a commitment to data privacy and protection. Ability to build a strong rapport across all levels of the business and to work well autonomously or in an team based environment. A valid driver's licence as travel to operational site will be a requirement for this role.
