Leisure & Lifestyle Officer

The Leisure and Lifestyle Officer (LLO) plays an essential role in facilitating meaningful activities that align with resident's preferences, interests, and care plans. This role involves supporting the Senior LLO and the team to ensure residents are engaged, socially active and experiencing a fulfilling daily routine. The LLO contributes to activity planning, execution, documentation, and evaluation ensuring that all programs reflect the diverse needs of residents. Key Responsibilities Delivering recreation activities to our residents and actively support them to maintain their physical, intellectual, emotional, cultural, and social wellbeing. Completing assessments, reviews and ongoing evaluation of the lifestyle program to ensure positive client outcomes and support ongoing education and improvements in accordance with the Aged Care Quality Standards Greet residents and inform them about the activities of the day and encouraging them to attend the program Maintaining a positive and culturally inclusive environment that supports dignity and resident's choice. Engage with residents during meals, providing support where required. Skills and Experience Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure (or equivalent) Current First Aid & CPR or willingness to obtain Experience in leading lifestyle activities Strong ability to develop lifestyle care plans Knowledge of Aged Care National Quality Standards Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as the confidence to work independently Greek speaking preferred to support our resident demographic Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with aged persons, relatives and other health professionals.
