An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced consultant to join our well renowned Environmental Impact Assessment team based in Newcastle. The team delivers environmental impact assessments, environmental management services and approvals to multiple sectors across Australia. We work alongside specialist technical teams in SLR to deliver a complete environmental service to clients across a range of sectors.
The successful applicant will have 3-10 years' experience in consulting, government or industry working to deliver environmental impact assessments and approvals.
The successful applicant will support the senior project managers to delivery large multidisciplinary projects in infrastructure, renewables, and mining. You will be given the opportunity to mange your own projects and will receive ongoing mentoring from industry experts.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilitiesAs a member of Environmental & Social Impact Assessment team, you will support delivery of a range of infrastructure, renewables, and mining projects. You will be responsible for the following:
Supporting the delivery of environmental impact assessments and approvals.Be an all-round key support person to large projects as well as take responsibility for your own projects.Delivering the best possible outcome for clients with a focus on qualityAssist with preparing fee proposalsPreparing high quality reports, andPreparing environmental approvals documentation.
ExperienceOur ideal candidate posses the following:
A professional qualification in environmental science or engineering or other relevant degree3-10 years' experience at a professional level, ideally in consulting.Experience delivering environmental impact assessments and approvalsDemonstrated knowledge of environmental approvals in Australia is an advantageDemonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary project teamsStrong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables on competing timeframesA clear, concise and professional writing style
