Role The Maintenance Officer is responsible for the regular maintenance, upkeep and ongoing improvement of school facilities and grounds across two campuses at Rowville Secondary College. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Officer works within a small team to ensure the facilities meet the ongoing needs of the whole college. The position requires attendance for duty during all school holiday periods and attracts 20 days annual leave. Responsibilities Provide practical support to the Facilities Manager with carrying out general maintenance. Inspecting school buildings and grounds daily to ensure all is in order. Ensure the maintenance of all school tools and maintenance equipment. Assist with the moving of furniture and equipment as required. Assist in ensuring classrooms and furniture are in order. Minor repairs to fixtures and fittings Removal of graffiti Minor repairs to doors, windows, and furniture Minor construction projects walls Ability to work autonomously. Other duties as directed by the Facilities Manager. Carpentry or cabinet maker qualification highly regarded.
