The Team Toowoomba Regional Council’s Corporate and Management Accounting teams are driven by integrity and excellence, and are responsible for providing professional accounting services to Council. This is an exciting opportunity to hone your accounting skills in a values-based team within local government. About the position This is a permanent full-time position based in the Toowoomba CBD. The annual salary range for this position is $94,918.74 - $98,910.82 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation. A range of progressive health and wellbeing services. How to be successful in this position Bachelor Degree in Commerce or related discipline with relevant accounting experience. Possession of, or working towards, a membership of a professional accounting organisation is desirable. Demonstrated time management and organisational skills. Knowledge of local government and/or similar large organisation asset structures, services and functions. Working knowledge of relevant Australian Accounting Standards and other applicable legislation, policies and procedures. Demonstrated computer skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Commitment to teamwork.
