Senior Resolutions Officer, Resolutions Team 2 Join the Victorian Department of Health as a Senior Resolutions Officer in Resolutions Team 2. The role reports to the Manager, Resolutions and focuses on managing a wide range of health complaints, including the most complex complaints about Victorian health service providers. About The Role The Senior Resolutions Officer is responsible for achieving timely, effective and least formal resolution of complaints and for supporting less experienced staff through guidance, advice and coaching. Responsibilities include: Managing and resolving health complaints, including complex cases. Making enquiries, identifying and assessing the best options for complaint resolution. Using alternative dispute resolution techniques, including conciliation. Liaising with consumers of health services and health service providers. About Us The Victorian Department of Health aims to support Victorians to stay healthy and safe and to deliver a world‑class healthcare system. The Health Complaints Commissioner is an independent statutory officer responsible for resolving complaints about health services and conducting investigations into healthcare providers. Qualifications / Specialist Expertise A tertiary qualification in a related field is highly desirable. Mediator accreditation (or working towards) is required. Demonstrated knowledge and experience managing complaints and dispute resolution. Knowledge of the Victorian health system, the Health Complaints Act 2016 and the Health Records Act 2001 would be an advantage.
