Purpose We are seeking an SAP Payroll Specialist to join our team in Melbourne or Sydney, where you will be responsible for delivering a high‑quality payroll service to ensure client satisfaction. This includes the ability to provide analysis of existing operational practices and make recommendations for improvements. In this position, you will assist Team / Project Leads / Senior Specialists by delivering high‑quality and timely consulting services. Responsibilities Work as part of a broader EMS business, or autonomously per project requirements to provide accurate and timely salary processing for employees in accordance with their relevant award or employment contract. Understand and meet client expectations. Provide guidance and support to Employee Managed Services Payroll Specialists or client associates as required. Determine operational objectives by studying client business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats. Recommend controls by identifying problems, writing improved procedures. Provide written guidance for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing support; training users as required. Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential. Enjoy challenging assignments and be excited by challenge. Adhere to the Employee Managed Services Values. Skills and Experience (Essential) Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in SAP (ERP and SuccessFactors) with systems admin and/or payroll processing experience. Ability to review existing implementations. Ability to make recommendations for improvement. Ability to develop test scripts and test new implementations. Extensive payroll experience, including onboarding, offboarding, reconciliations, end‑to‑end payroll processing, test cases, system nuance and cutover, End of Month and End of Year reporting and reconciliations. Liaison with all internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to senior management and third parties. Payroll legislation and awards knowledge. Experience working within a complex payroll environment. Business process improvement focus such as quality management, documentation, training, analysing information and problem solving, payroll end‑user training experience. Skills and Experience (Desirable) Tertiary qualified with business‑related discipline. Proven experience within a similar role. Working with a team to deliver projects on time and within budget. Knowledge of using other payroll systems (i.e. Dayforce, Preceda, Payroll Metrics/Humanforce Payroll, Chris21).
