THE ROLE
The Permanent Care program provides services including high-level, complex casework to children and families in permanent care arrangements that aim to support a stable family life for children, promote emotional well-being and enhance children's capacity to form meaningful relationships as adults.
The Manager, of Permanent Care, is responsible for strengthening the effective operation of the Permanent Care program in Victoria. The Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation of the program and provide support and supervision to staff.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Take responsibility for monitoring the Permanent Care program in East Division, including staff, sites, service delivery, the budget, implementation of quality improvement plans, and stakeholder relationships. Ensure that services are delivered within a clear established framework and operational policies
- Develop operational policies that ensure high quality of services are provided and that the requirements of the relevant legislation and other statutory requirements are met
- Develop strategies to implement program objectives in relation to Permanent Care. This includes ensuring an appropriate strategy for attracting applicant families, matching children to permanent care placements, supporting placements and oversee the team's undertaking kinship and foster care conversions to permanent care.
