In this Role, you’ll Become a Road Safety Hero held in high esteem in our communities, vital to the safety of kids, parents, teachers and local motorists. You’ll grow to be a much‑loved familiar face around the school with a unique opportunity to touch the lives of countless families. This is a casual position that provides relief at sites in the Newcastle Local Government Area. Shifts may be between school zone hours 8:00‑9:30 AM and 2:30‑4:00 PM, with a minimum of one hour shift as and when required Monday to Friday during the school term. You will receive an hourly rate along with superannuation. About You You are a community‑minded person willing to contribute. You would get a kick out of building community relationships, keeping kids safe while earning a weekly wage for doing something you love and enjoy. You are reliable and prepared to show up for your community – in good or bad weather. You will display effective communication skills and be alert to potential dangers. Qualifications and requirements Applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of appointment. All training, uniforms and equipment will be provided. Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Check, Police Check, and a Health Assessment is vital. We will help you through the process.
