Dispatch Coordinator

Big River Group is a publicly listed company with over 120 years of experience in the timber and building supplies industry. Established in the early 1900s, we are a leading manufacturer and supplier of plywood, hardwood flooring, formply, and steel formwork products, operating across Australia and New Zealand. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dispatch Coordinator to join our Mt Druitt branch. About the Role As the Dispatch Coordinator, you will oversee the timely and efficient dispatch of finished products. This is a hands‑on role where you will work closely with internal teams, drivers, and customers to ensure smooth daily operations. To succeed in this position, you will be highly organised, proactive, and demonstrate a strong ‘can‑do’ attitude. This role requires excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to both give and receive direction. Key Responsibilities Plan and schedule daily truck runs based on customer orders and delivery deadlines Maintain up-to-date dispatch schedules and delivery paperwork Resolve delivery or scheduling issues as they arise Maintain clear communication with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers Identify and implement process improvements in the dispatch area Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and company policies What We’re Looking For Previous experience in a dispatch, transport coordination, or delivery scheduling role A strong understanding of truck logistics and route planning Timber industry experience (advantageous, but not essential) Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, POS and EFTPOS systems) Excellent time management, organisation, and multitasking ability Outstanding communication and teamwork skills Ability to build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders Sound judgment, proactive mindset, and flexibility in a fast‑paced environment A strong focus on safety and continuous improvement What You’ll Receive Competitive salary package and potential for additional incentives Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Opportunities for ongoing training and career progression A supportive and collaborative team environment If you’re ready to bring your skills to a dynamic team and grow your career with a trusted industry leader, apply now via the SEEK website and become a part of Big River Group. #J-18808-Ljbffr
