The Role: We are seeking a proactive and detail oriented Procurement Officer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will support the full procurement lifecycle from sourcing materials and negotiating contracts to ensuring seamless and cost-effective purchasing operations. Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, you’ll play an essential part in driving operational excellence and supporting the success of our projects across the business. Key Responsibilities: Identify, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers for Solar and BESS projects (including PV modules, trackers, inverters, transformers, batteries, cables, and accessories), maintaining the Approved Supplier List and performance records. Issue RFQs and tenders, analyse responses, conduct technical-commercial bid evaluations with input from design, commercial, and other teams, and assist in final supplier selection. Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, warranties, and commercial terms; draft and process Supply Agreements or Purchase Orders in line with project procurement plans. Track order status, coordinate FATs where required, monitor deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely and accurate receipt of goods matching specifications. Maintain accurate procurement records including contracts, technical datasheets, drawings, and certifications, ensuring all documentation is reviewed, approved, and archived. Liaise with project managers, engineering, design, finance, and accounts payable teams to align procurement with project timelines, budgets, and payment schedules, while addressing non-conformance or quality issues. Prepare procurement reports, track budgets, support supplier performance assessments, assist with risk mitigation planning, and provide insights to senior management for informed decision-making. What will you bring to the role? 3+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably within the renewable energy or construction industry. Strong understanding of procurement principles, vendor management, and contract negotiation. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills will serve you well in this role.
