THE NINTH AVE is looking for a HEAD BARISTA/ ALL ROUNDER to join our team in Westmeadows, located 5 mins from Melbourne Airport. This is a permanent position, offering flexibility around your schedule. You will be an integral part of our front-of-house operations, providing exceptional customer service and support across a range of duties. Our cafe isn't just a place for coffee, it's a vibe. Someone calm under pressure, exceptional with people and passionate about precision in coffee and service. You'll be the first face our customers see and the first reason they come back. Job Responsibilities Operate the machine solo in the mornings—own the shift like a pro. Make consistently excellent coffee, maintaining the highest standards across every single cup. Show off top-tier latte art and dial in with confidence every day. Balance making coffee, food service, cleaning, and engaging with customers—multi-tasking is your superpower. Be the vibe setter for the space—warm, welcoming, and effortlessly cool. A people magnet—your energy sets the tone and puts everyone at ease. A high-standard operator—you take pride in doing things properly and consistently. Experienced and confident in solo café operations with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Equally strong in skills and soul—you’re not just a technician, you're a host. Efficiency, speed, and cleanliness are second nature to you. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years solo café operation experience. Excellent customer service skills, calm under pressure, and passion for precise coffee making. Strong latte art skills and ability to maintain high standards consistently.
