Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Manager Greater Sydney Area A$80,000 – A$110,000 ABOUT THE ROLE Join an exciting team at the forefront of digital marketing, creating insight-driven SEO strategies and technical solutions for leading automotive brands Hyundai, Kia and Genesis. As the SEO Manager, you'll be responsible for leading SEO growth. Responsibilities will cover on-page SEO, technical SEO and insights, analysis and reporting. Your focus will be on improving organic performance, elevating user experience and delivering measurable business impact. You’ll combine a deep understanding of SEO best practices with a data-obsessed mindset, using insights from GA4, Google Search Console, and SERanking to uncover opportunities and guide actionable recommendations. You must have a deep understanding of technical SEO and GEO best practice and emerging trends in this space including algorithm changes and AI solutions that improve websites, and be able to translate insights into actionable on and offsite improvements. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring any BAU and campaign site updates not only meet technical SEO standards but also drive growth through data‑backed decision‑making. Responsibilities Develop and execute SEO strategies aligned with business and marketing goals. Identify growth opportunities across organic channels and Gen AI (search, YouTube, app stores, etc.). Forecast traffic and performance impact from SEO Initiatives. Conduct keyword research and search intent mapping. Optimise on‑page elements (metadata, headings, internal links, structured data). Partner with content teams to ensure SEO‑friendly writing and publishing. Work with product, UX, and dev teams to integrate SEO into design and build processes. Educate internal teams on SEO best practices. Technical Project Management Create technical processes and improvements that allow clients to easily understand their impact and implement. Lead SEO migration projects from end to end. Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits, clearly translating findings into actionable insights. Incorporate audience insights into recommendations and demonstrate the effectiveness of SEO projects through quantitative and qualitative evidence. Reporting Demonstrate the effectiveness of technical SEO projects through quantitative and qualitative evidence. Create dashboards that display SEO performance in an easy to digest format. Monitor and analyse rankings and website data from GA4, Google Search Console and SERanking to identify trends, performance gaps and new opportunities for optimisation. Provide actionable insights and recommendations that influence broader content and digital strategies. Innovative Solutions Develop a deep understanding of technical nuances and user behaviours to optimise technical SEO performance. Stay ahead of algorithm updates, AI‑driven search changes and evolving SERP features to ensure Hyundai, Kia and Genesis remain competitive. Integration Interpret insights from other teams and identify opportunities to leverage those insights to deliver technical SEO solutions. Lead holistic SEO projects through a strong understanding of other channels such as PPC. Collaborate closely with content, social and analytics teams to create joined‑up strategies that connect technical SEO with broader brand and business goals. Collaborate closely with the internal and external teams to understand project objectives and proactively suggest solutions that are at the forefront of technical SEO. ABOUT YOU Qualifications A degree in Marketing, IT or a related field. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Experienced in technical SEO and reporting tools such as SERanking, Ahrefs, Google Lighthouse, Google Keyword Planner, Google Tag Manager, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4 and Looker Studio. At least 2‑3 years experience in an agency or client side role. Demonstrable experience in creating solutions that drive technical SEO performance. Lead technical SEO audits and BAU technical updates. Provide education to internal teams and clients to aid with the interpretation of complex data. Investigate opportunities to build links and boost website authority. Knowledge of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles to create technical solutions that will result in engaging and user‑friendly digital experiences. While experience in the automotive category is advantageous, a passion for performance and a willingness to learn are equally valued. Ability to adapt to fast‑paced environments and evolving project requirements. Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
